"Deflating and disappointing first experience"

Finally after a year my daughter finally got her first appointment.

I have never dealt with a service provider shockingly as bad as Camhs.

No support for my daughter or myself on the day, they failed to retrieve documents and professionals reports and official diagnosis. Also failed to get her reports from her Sen School.

The questions they asked of my daughter was unprofessional and inappropriate given her specific needs. I was uncomfortable, and found it really hard to bite my tongue, considering I've made a huge effort to retrain and get qualified to provide my daughter the support she needs.

They have access and the means to get all of her paperwork,Ehcp's and professional reports but they didn't bother. The 2hr appointment had to be cut short due to the distress it caused my daughter. I am perplexed to how the CQC hasn't put them under review or special measures considering the service that was provided on the day. I left that appointment feeling deflated, frustrated, angry, and awful.

I can't imagine how other Sen parents, and children/young adults who have more needs, and require more intervention feel.

This service provider isn't fit for purpose, it requires more funding.

Hopefully the next appointment is better, I've had to get her school, educators and psychologist involved due the experience and awful service we had on the day.
