I am very disgusted with how staff are treating my Grandmother who has recently been taken to hospital due to being terminally ill. Upon arrival she had no pillow for 9 hours until a porter came with one. She has also not been given her medication correctly and is in more pain at the hospital than she was at home. Her medication was left at the end of her bed for her to take which she is unable to take herself as she is too weak to do so. The staff came the next morning and my auntie questioned if she has had her medication yet, in which they replied 'I don't know I will have to ask someone'. They also did not change her bed sheets for her so my auntie had to do so. I would like to know why such 'highly qualified' members of staff are letting this appalling behaviour take place in an environment that is meant to be caring.
