One of the (perhaps counter-intuitive) pleasures of developing an online feedback service is meeting people face-to-face. We love sharing Care Opinion in person and hearing from people who are inspired to do something creative with what we have built.

So we're excited to be coming to Newcastle on Tuesday 4 July to offer a free half-day workshop for health/care staff interested in understanding the potential of public online feedback for issue resolution, quality improvement, learning and transparency.

This will be a friendly, informal event with lots of opportunity to meet the Care Opinion team, ask questions, explore issues and network with others. We'll be sure to cover:

  • the vision, mission and values of Care Opinion
  • how our service works and what makes it so different
  • the benefits of online feedback for patients, staff, services and organisations
  • our work with Talking Mats to facilitate feedback in dementia care
  • our new supported programme in palliative/end of life care
  • our work with universities using Care Opinion in nurse/AHP education
  • how you can take the next steps in working effectively with online feedback

Care Opinion's service is integrated across health and social care, so we are happy to welcome staff from both health and care providers, as well as commissioners and healthwatch too.

If this sounds like your sort of thing, then we'd love to see you. The event will run from 1 - 4 pm, at the wonderful MEA House in the centre of Newcastle.

Capacity is limited, so you'll need to be sure to register in advance. To register, or to find out more, email sarah.ashurst@careopinion.org.uk or give us a call on 0114 281 6256. But don't delay!
