Living near London I am more used to spending hours at my local hospital...just waiting.... Then I was sent to Heatherwood in Ascot for a consultation. I arrived early, having allowed too much time for the M25 shenanigans. Every member off staff I met was friendly, efficient and helpful. The hospital was clean, bright and welcoming. I was seen before my appointment time and examined by a very pleasant surgeon who took the time to explain in full, the operation and any complications that may occur.
The whole experience was impressive, professional and at no time did I feel I was being pushed along a medical conveyer belt. This hospitals should be used as a model for the whole NHS
