"Felt like there was no concern for my unborn baby"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

I rang triage as my babies movements had been very little compared to normal and it caused concern for me. It's my first baby so everything is new to me. Whoever spoke to me on the phone sounded like they couldn't be bothered to help and would rather a gossip like they were having when they first picked up the phone before speaking. I get so unwelcome by this that I decided not to bother going to triage as their attitude towards me caused me to be upset and I'd rather wait to see a doctor tomorrow than go into triage where I felt unwanted and upset due to this one midwifes attitude.

Thank you for your review - I'm really sorry to read of your experience and you felt that the team couldn't be bothered to help.

This is not the standard we expect of our staff, and would like to both investigate further, and also help you as soon as possible.

I would be very grateful if you could contact Debbie Simkin, Senior Ward Sister on email Debbie.simkin@fhft.nhs.uk or on 01753 633933.

She will be able to help you.

Kind Regards

Claire Marshall
