"The needs of the patient came last"

About: Birmingham Dental Hospital

Anything else?

Needed a large filing and crown but a couple of weeks later when I came back to Birmingham pain started in the tooth. went to walk in at the dental hospital and they said all they would do is pull it out, a student doing it at that! In pain I accepted but under duress. Now left with a empty space. Thanks very much!

Birmingham Dental Hospital Primary Care Clinic (Walk in service) offers dental treatment for patients presenting with acute dental problems, and this may include supervised treatment by dental students. Rcommended treatment is discussed with patients and options fully explained, including the impact of treatment decisions. I am sorry you are disappointed that your tooth was extracted on this occasion and that you felt that you had to make this decision under duress as this should not have been the case. If you wish to discuss your experience further please do not hesitate to contact Alison Last, Associate Director of Patient Experience on 0121 466 7128 or email alison.last@bhamcommunity.nhs.uk
