"Continued care in 208 and Radiology."

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / General Surgery Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiology (X-rays and Scans)

(as a service user),

I would just like to thank staff who have cared for me several times now in ward 208 because of my complex medical issues. From the domestic staff, and Liz who always makes me laugh. I can also have a rant to Liz when I’m feeling a bit down in the dumps.

The HCA’s and support workers and the nurses are all helpful and supportive and I feel like I know many of them now. I would name all of them but my memory is terrible. Cat in the clinic has gone out of her way to make sure we’ve gotten to the bottom of several fairly serious health issues this year and I’m very grateful to her. She is an asset to your team.

The staff in 208 have made me feel safe at times when I haven’t felt very safe and secure. Thank you.

As for the radiology team, Mark, liza,  Lala, the Porter who always puts my mind at ease before a procedure. Thank you so much for holding my hand, talking me through a procedure and treating me as an equal.

I’m sure, unfortunately it won’t be the last you have seen of me. But you can tell they are a good team to work with by the way they interact with their patients.

All the best

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Dear Babycorr

thank you for taking the time to post your response on care opinion at what must have been an extremely stressful time for you. It was so heartening to read that you have received such person centred care from ward 208, Cat in the clinic and the radiology department.

We are very fortunate to have such dedicated staff and staff who can make you laugh even during the toughest of times. Comments such as those you posted give staff such a morale boost, therefore I will be passing your comments onto all the departments concerned.

I do hope you are making a recovery and if you have to come to ARI again that you continue to receive the best care possible.

Thanks again for your lovely comments.

Kindest regards

Yvonne
