About: Clinical Haematology / Ward 10 North - Haematology

(as a relative),

My father is currently in ward 10 north Belfast city hospital, to date we are very happy with his care however we are disappointed that the ward does not have an IT device available to allow patients access virtual visiting.   This is especially concerning due to the restricted visiting on this ward where physical visiting is only permitted twice a week.

Thank you for your feedback. We do have IT devices available for patients to support virtual visiting, my apologies that you and your relative were not aware of this. If you contact the ward on 07925036135 and speak to the nurse in charge they can get this organised for you, or alternatively if your relative asks a member of the nursing team regarding this service they can also assist.

Thanks very much Davinia for your response which is very helpful and reassuring. I did phone the ward to ask, and was informed that there were no IT devices available on ward 10 north. It would be useful if your ward staff could be made aware so that they can provide the correct information to patients and relatives.

I'm sorry to hear that - we have reminded all staff that tablets are available for patient use should they require them, so hopefully this will prevent this from happening again. Thanks for getting in touch to highlight this issue to us.
