"Cooks balloon induction"

About: Inverclyde Royal Hospital / Community Maternity Unit Inverclyde Royal Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I recently had a balloon induction at Inverclyde royal hospital. The process was smooth, I was well informed and it couldn't have gone better. I was very happy I could get this at my local hospital and go home for the first stages of labour. The staff at Inverclyde were wonderful and talked me through the process and I left the hospital feeling confident in knowing what would happen over the course of the next 24 hours.

Dear Eridanusry59

Thank you very much for getting in touch to feed this back to us. Our Senior Charge Midwife has just introduced this service at Inverclyde and I am delighted to hear how well this is being received and that you are able to be in the comfort of your own home during this part of your induction. I will share this post with the staff at Inverclyde and know they will be pleased also to hear your kind words.

Best wishes

Angela Watt
