I was driven to A&E in Aberdeen after being sick. I couldn't stomach food, could barely move my right leg and had severe pain that came and went down my right side of my body to the point I couldn't walk without being hunched over, and I was progressively getting worse than I was 2-days prior.
When I was seen to and after giving all the information and explaining that I was experiencing pain for long periods of time, then it would subside and then it would repeat for last 2 days. The staff member then went out of the room to speak with a doctor. I was then dismissed after taking a pregnancy test and told to come back if it worsened, despite me trying to express my concern.
I went home where I would sleep then wake up in pain so I called 111 and saw a Geomed in Stonehaven who was really concerned but couldn't identify right-off that it wasn't appendicitis therefore booked me into hospital within 30 minutes.

Staff skills

Staff attitude
Luckily they did as I did have appendicitis and was operated on the next day. The staff I saw that Monday night and Tuesday were great and I could not fault them - expect an agency nurse forgot to give me blood thinners after my operation, but nothing came of it.
My complaint is more to raise awareness that a staff member was too quick to dismiss someone who was visibly unwell and if the right tests were taken they should have been submitted from A&E.
