They say the NHS is broken, but after the help and treatment I have had recently I totally disagree.
Yesterday evening I fell outside on the pavement in Montrose and sustained an injury to my cheek and wrist. I self medicated last night, but decided to get things checked out this morning. When I phoned NHS 111, both the telephone operator and triage nurse were kind and helpful and guided me to Arbroath Infirmary for an appointment with the Minor Injuries Clinic.
There I saw a polite and caring team of receptionist, nurse and radiologist who carried out their duties extremely well.
I’m to have some follow up treatment which has been organised. All in all I felt very well looked after by everyone.
