Care at AMH was excellent.
All midwives, doctors, theatre staff and health care assistants were endlessly kind and compassionate. The midwives went out of their way to be supportive, and nothing seemed to much bother.
In particular thank you to carol in triage for your kind and caring response to phone calls and starting us off on our birthing journey.
Sophie and Rachel in labor ward and Rachel in ashgrove - it’s hard to believe that you are all newly qualified midwives as you all seemed so unbelievably competent and filled me with confidence in your knowledge and skills. Your kindness and willingness to help was outstanding.
Vicky and Nikki in ashgrove - I commend your enthusiasm and energy! It’s was so uplifting.
Many of the staff were placed to work on unfamiliar wards and were understaffed but that never once affected the quality of care they delivered. I was offered so much support for breast feeding even when the ward was busy.
Lastly thank you to Dr Roberts who delivered baby by forceps. Your calm demeanour for the emergency procedure rubbed off. You explained everything clearly and put us at ease.
Thank you to everyone we met, every single person did an exemplary job. You are all a credit to the NHS and deserve to be recognised as such.
👏
