"Going above and beyond"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Elective admissions (CEAW) 4 south

(as a relative),

My mum, who is profoundly deaf and end stages of dementia came in to have kidney stones removed. Her over night stay turned into a 3 week stay with many complications. I can not speak highly enough of the staff. They have been amazing,  Dr Tyson, Dr McCann, nurses, nursing assistants, service staff on West 1 thank you doesn't seem to be enough. They treated mum with such dignity and care but also us a a family who have had to sit with mum. I also want to thank the microbiologists who have worked tirelessly to find the right antibiotics she has need. A special thank you to the surgical staff who have been amazing.

In a time when there are so many pressures and I have my issues with the waiting list that have had an awful affect on mum, these on the ground staff are the life blood of this trust.

A thousand thank yous are not enough to express how we feel. You seemed to go above and beyond for a wee woman who is our world.

Thank you for taking the time to give this great feedback on your mums recent hospital admission to Elective admissions ward.

As Ward Sister for EAW, I would like to thank you for your very kind words about the nursing care she has received and also the nursing and medical staff. I will ensure your feedback is shared with the Team.

I hope your mum makes a full recovery.

Many thanks
