"Detox from Alcohol"

I have attended a 10 night stay at Dame Carol Detox Service to detox from alcohol.  I am on 7 days being sober.

I was welcomed straight away and was briefed so I knew what was happening.  I stayed in my room for a day and half due to being under the influence of alcohol on arrival until it come out of my system.  I was supported by Care workers who supplied me with food and drink and kept checking I was okay as I was in such a bad way.  

I have had magnets put in my ears which help me to sleep along with my back and liver and helps with anxiety and cravings.

The only thing that could have been better was my diagnosis of medication as I had the really bad shakes.  It took me 4 days to reduce my shakes.    The first two days were the hardest.    Everything else has been brilliant. 

I have received help with my skin, I was taken to the doctors where they prescribed me some cream which has been helpful.

The food has been very nutritious which I have enjoyed.

I have been attending groups which I have found really helpful.  I now want to get out of bed in the morning and I don't feel alone anymore.
