"Recovery after major emergency surgery"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 3 South

(as a relative),

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the wonderful staff of 3 South, who have cared for my mum so wonderfully after her emergency surgery.

Mum was discharged from the ward last night, after 5 weeks there. The odds were really stacked against her, but thanks to the wonderful medical and nursing care she received, mum has made significant progress.

The staff on this ward are fantastic- I’m sure there are many that we didn’t even get to meet and thank personally, but we are so grateful to all all of those who cared for mum.

A special mention to Maeve, Philip, Sinead and Katie, who were mum’s primary nurses on many days. Their dedication and kindness to mum, and to us, will be something we will never forget- truly wonderful people.

Thanks also to Janet and Sonya who really brightened up mum’s stay with their chat and humour.

To each and every person who helped mum on her road to recovery, thank you so much.
