I injured my calf playing badminton and was struggling to weight bare with my calf pain. The muscles were tight and sore and I couldn't flex my leg properly. I went to the minor injuries unit at the new Victoria hospital the next day and the staff were lovely.
The gentleman on reception was quick and efficient. I was seen within the hour by an ENP who examined my leg and diagnosed a gastrocnemius tear. She took me though the management, gave me advice leaflets, and talked me through exercises to aid healing.
The whole experience was so efficient and the staff were knowledgeable and kind. I wish I could remember their names to mention them personally. But I was so impressed with the experience from arrival to discharge.
