"Day Care ward- kind and friendly staff"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

(as the patient),

I had a liver biopsy today at Queens, the nurses and doctor I met could not have been kinder or more friendly and put me at ease.

In the Day Care Unit the nurses made sure I was comfortable, made me cups of tea and were pleasant and kind. I was introduced to all members of staff by their names and they all talked me through every step of the procedure before, during and after the biopsy.

I go by the adage: 'Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself' it has rarely failed me!

Thank you for posting your experience on NHS Choices. I was so pleased to hear you had such a positive experience at the hospital. We are working hard so that every patient receives good experiences from the moment they check in to the moment they leave. I will pass on your comments to the Day Care Unit team who I am sure will be delighted to hear you appreciated their hard work. Yours sincerely Flo Panel-Coates Director of Nursing
