"The road to recovery after my stroke"

About: Neurological Rehabilitation Centre / Inpatient Unit

(as a service user),

I arrived at the rehab hospital unable to stand after a stroke and I'm now  climbing stairs!  I thought I would never walk again but the whole team have been amazing. They have encouraged me so much since my arrival and going to the gym and all the extra activities such as cookery and singing have been fun and helped me to cope with the effects of having a stroke.

I also feel a lot stronger physically and mentally and I am gradually getting my independence back. A very big thank you to all the physios, psychologists and occupational therapists doctors nurses and healthcare assistants.
