"Fetal Assessment Unit Altnagelvin"

I had some worrying symptoms in the 24th week of pregnancy and contacted FAU in Altnagelvin and got triaged by Alex and Jennifer who were fantastic, so reassuring and empathetic. When I attended I met Aine, who was brilliant. She tested me and baby thoroughly, with care and reassurance. I needed input from the gynecology team and the Dr I met (i'm sorry I missed their name) was also very thorough and gave me full reassurance that my baby was healthy.

In a very stressful time the midwifery team were amazing, when hospital services are under extreme pressure both with demand and staffing issues they conducted themselves with immense compassion and empathy and I left feeling fully reassured about my health and the health of my baby, and felt that I did the right thing to attend. It was a really positive experience in a stressful and worrying time and I can't compliment the full team enough. They apologised for the wait which was completely unnecessary as I was seen swiftly. Thank you so much for your care and attention in a stressful time, it means so much. Please pass this on to the team.
