(as a service user),

I have been here at Wathwood for six years,

Things I like about been here are- working in the patients shop because i get to meet people, I like helping people, it occupies me and give me ambition for moving on.

most staff are friendly and support me.

I enjoy going on community leave to the shops and buying myself stuff.

Improvements I would make are less restrictions and more Halal choices on the menu.

overall I feel safe and have made lots of friends.

Thank you for taking time to send us your feedback. it does look so positive mainly. its always nice to hear about the shop and what you say about moving on.

Thank you so much for your post, it is brilliant to get feedback.

I am glad working in 'Woody's' shop is enjoyable and that your leaves are going well.

Regarding the restrictions we always welcome your feedback in the patients forum, through community meetings, advocacy or on care opinion. We continue to look at the least restrictive practice we can achieve, whilst keeping patients, visitors and staff safe.

We have made many changes over the years and have yearly training for staff to consider least restrictive practices. If you would like a list please ask your ward manager.

Regarding Halal diet, we do ensure that the meals are prepared correctly and acknowledge the range can be limited however suggests are always welcome. We also do a comprehensive vegetarian and vegan menu. Also please approach your named OT to consider self catering and you could even buy ingredients on your leaves.
