I was in my first trimester of pregnancy in November 2022 when I noticed I was bleeding. I contacted the EPPC in CAH and got an appointment for 2 days later. I had already accepted the outcome and knew what had happened, however on the Thursday it was confirmed I had a miscarriage. The senior nurse who I think was called Katie was brilliant. She gave me options on the next steps and decided I would allow things to happen naturally and attend for a review on the Tuesday back at EPPC.
When I attended on the Tuesday things had not fully progressed naturally and I had to have a procedure at the bedside. The doctor and nurse were brilliant and I couldn't have asked for better care. SN Marion I believe was covering from another ward and provided first class care.
I was aware when I went in there were 2 other couples in the waiting area, the unit was short staffed and running behind on time but not once did I feel my procedure or consultation was rushed in any way.
The waiting room is very small that's my only negative feedback. The EPPC is a brilliant service.
"A brilliant service."
