"Whittington hospital "

In response to some of the comments made about the Whittington . I have to say the food is fairly terrible at the hospital, however it is a bit hard to over boil anything as everything is steamed in a big heater. As nothing is lost in steam, e.g. vits and minerials etc. Although i have to say again the food is horrible in any case. Additionally i have to disagree with the comments made about the hospital being geared towards the benefiting the people who work there rather than patients. I find the lack of resources make it a very stressful environment, where patients expect top quality service, and at the same time we are told by management to cut back on basic things like wipes, and linen. There is also a lack of staff with night staff, especially on weekends having to care for 27+ patients with two staff nurses. This is not a easy job, and it has to be said that some nurses let the side down in terms of professionalism, however the majority of nurses are trying to do their best in a bad situation.
