"My mother's experience"

About: Victoria Hospital / Respiratory Medicine

(as a relative),

My mother was in ward 43 and I don't think she was spoken to appropriately for her age.

She stopped buzzing for assistance because of this and I spoke to staff on the ward about it.

I received an apology but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

There seemed to be a lack of communication regarding medication from home.

On the plus side food was great and the staff do a great job considering the stress they are under.

Dear cricketbt69,

I am sorry to read of your mother's experience in Ward 43. I would be keen to learn more of how the communication has not been appropriate, and information lacking regarding her medication, so that I can address this with the team, and prevent any similar incidents in the future.

If you would like to discuss this further you can contact me on 01592 643355 ext. 28248, or Senior Charge Nurse Cheryl Smith on ext. 29943.

Kind regards,

Dale Simpson
