"Staff were amazing"

Well after a breakdown I was transferred to Newsam Centre Ward 4, and that was one of the best that unknowingly to me that could of happened to me.

Although I couldn't smoke on the ward staff kindly made time to take me to the gardens.

Staff also were like ducks or swans, smooth above the surface and working very hard beneath it to get me somewhere to move on to. 

So I was only there a few weeks and moved onto somewhere more suitable.

Staff were amazing, so was my Dr, appointments kept and everything ran smoothly for me and still does.

I was taken for some cooking lessons, which came in handy and I have now gotten a new interest in cooking.

Food on the ward was very nice and staff were on hand to help me with my money and shopping outside the hospital for stuff I needed.

All in all a jolly good show.

I know now that these places aren't visited at the best times in our lives, but staff were so helpful and welcoming no matter what surprises mental health has to bear.

Just a big thank you to you and all the staff.
