This was a reassuring experience considering I had broken my ankle. The Forth Valley Royal Hospital staff can feel proud of the friendly and professional service they provide.
On the day of my accident, Matt reset my foot to point the right way and magically reduced the pain from very high to low. Thanks to all of the team that helped him too.
I was able to thank him the next day before my operation which he and Sri performed and has so far proven to have a great outcome.
Sri described the thin metal plates that were going to be put in my ankle. Later when I told our grandson, he was relieved because he had pictured dinner plates.
A couple of weeks later Nicole and Julie in Outpatients again showed the caring, professional and friendly approach that characterised the whole experience. Thanks for the encouragement and information too.
It was good my family were allowed to visit and were kept abreast of my treatment and this has allowed them to help in lots of ways. In particular my wife, who used to work in the NHS has been key to my ongoing recovery.
Could anything be improved? Perhaps the wheelchairs at reception could be cleaned earlier (before 11 a.m.), since they had all been used.
"Caring, professional and friendly"
