"Professionalism and compassion"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / GP Out of Hours service

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter has recurring scarlet fever. She developed symptoms Saturday night into Sunday just two weeks after stopping antibiotics.  From the call centre handler, to the nurse triaging,  to the two doctors dealing with my daughters case was handled with such professionalism and compassion by the ooh hub.

The doctor gave great advice on what to do going forward due to her having so many antibiotics for the same thing over such a short period of time.

The gp took time out his busy day to source the antibiotic by contacting the chemist to check if they were in stock due to a recent shortage.

I appreciate gp’s at ooh are very busy but the care I received for my daughter was person centred and they took time to answer my questions. So thank-you very much.

Many thanks for taking the time to post about your positive experience when your daughter had to access the Out of Hours service.

I hope your daughter is recovering well.

I will pass on your lovely comments to the doctors who were on shift.

Take care, Pamela.
