My brother in-law went into Tayberry ward by ambulance due to 3 falls in one week. He does not know how to hold is bowels. Social services said he has the early sign dementia. We phoned and talked to a nurse who said that he might have dementia and they needed to do more tests.
We then had a phone call from hospital to say they want come home. When he is at home he sometimes leaves the cooker on, forgets he has put food on and it burns. The doctor said he still got capacity to make is own decisions if he wants to come home.
I think it is a joke. No-one talk each other. It is a complete mess, I think it is all because they want the beds and don't seem to care that we can't look after him 24/7, We have got own life.
