Since January 2023, Mrs Hollis has been tremendously thorough and caring for both my wife and I. Due to my wife's mental and physical health, my wife needed transportation via ambulance and went into Cross House Hospital A&E Kilmarnock in November 2022 with major injuries due to her constant falling.
My wife was in many wards from when she entered Cross House Hospital. Mrs. Hollis was always there for my wife and I. One week my wife caught pneumonia, a week or two later COVID-19, and she was in terrible shape.
After months of staying in hospital she lost a lot of weight, both her mental and physical health were deteriorating. Mrs Hollis was very instrumental in working with the hospital staff to get my wife assigned to Woodland View Hospital, where she could have more one-on-one attention.
I must say both hospitals, doctors, nurses, care assistants, even the cleaners, did an outstanding job in helping my wife. Mrs Hollis kept regular meetings with my wife and I to ensure the quality of her health was improving. Then when my wife was ready to be transferred to Cross Gates Care home, in June 2023, Mrs. Hollis helped her make the transfer as smooth as possible, with regular meetings to insure my wife's health and happiness.
So far, The Crossgate's Care Home appears to be meeting her needs and have been terrific to both of us. I believe Mrs. Hollis is still with Katrina (my wife's advocate who was also there for her many times through this process to help her with outstanding care and support!)
I want to thank Elderly Accommodation Council (EAC) East Ayrshire Advocacy Service Joyce, for she teamed up with Mrs. Hollis to help me though a very demanding time, where I had many problems and if it wasn't for these kind ladies, especially Mrs. Hollis, I don't know what I would have done without them! I also want to thank Mrs. Kidd from the EAC Advocacy, which I already gave my positive feedback through her chain of command.
Mrs. Hollis set up a family plan phone menu so the Cross Gates Care home can call my wife's family members if need be. Mrs Hollis also made sure other family members, who live far away her son and her sister, who have both travelled many times to see her, were well informed and gave the same outstanding caring to them as well as to me.
