I have primary vaginismus and can't get through a smear test the "usual" way, so off I went to the Women's Unit to make use of their lovely supply of Entonox. Sharon, Ruth and Freda (apologies for any misspelling) could not have been any kinder or more reassuring.
The situation could have been incredibly difficult for me, but they made me feel completely at ease throughout the whole appointment, and my overall experience was overwhelmingly positive.
