(as the patient),

Attended day surgery today extremely anxious for a procedure. From moment I arrived I was reassured and kept informed at every stage of the process from arriving until leaving. It would be unfair to name particular staff as everyone I met treated me with compassion, empathy and dignity. You all made this stressful experience for me more manageable. Well done to everyone at the day surgery unit and considering you were short staffed I would never have know this until advised on leaving. You are all assets to the day surgery unit. Well done.

I can absolutely empathise with how worrying it can be when you need to attend hospital for a procedure and I am so pleased to hear our professional team reassured you from the minute you arrived, and that despite being short staff their care and professionalism was excellent. This is the care out busy teams aim to deliver every day and I am so pleased that you were able to experience this and feel at ease because of it.

It is encouraging for our team to feel recognised and your praise and kind words will give the team a much needed boost. I will be sure to pass this on to them.
