"We are very grateful for her care"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

My Mum had to receive treatment for a fall which left her with cuts and bruises to her face, legs and arm.

She was taken by ambulance by two calm and kind paramedics. When we arrived she was seen quickly and her arm was attended to by a lovely nurse who applied steri-strips to her arm injuries.

She was scanned and taken to an observation ward where her facial cut was eventually sutured and then we waited until her bleeding had subsided. Being on blood thinners this took some time. The staff were attentive and I would commend them as they had some other demanding and needy patients in the other beds.

Please pass on our thanks for my Mum's care and indeed for looking out for my daughter and myself whilst we were there. Clearly a difficult job with constant pressures and we are very grateful for her care.  May God bless them as they continue to care for vulnerable patients

Dear Jean23

Thank you for sharing your story. It must have been a very worrying time for you all so it is heartening to read your kind words about all the staff.

If you would like me to pass on your thanks to the ambulance crew may I ask that you contact our Patient Experience Team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, Care Opinion name, your mother's name, and the address and date we attended.

I do hope your Mum is feeling better now.

Kindest regards

David
