"Waiting time for colposcopy"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

Was booked for a colposcopy following 3 consecutive abnormal (HPV) smear tests. Have previously had CIN3 cells removed in 2011. The colposcopy could not be performed fully due to circumstances that seem to be out of the doctors hands, however its been rescheduled for 13 months time.

To me this seems to be completely ridiculous, since I haven't actually had any results to say there's nothing to worry about for 12 months. This is apparently NHS guidelines, and I seriously think this needs to be reviewed in the case of unsuccessful tests where no real results can be determined.
