"Care for my husband with dementia"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Community Services / STARS (Short Term Assessment Reablement Service)

(as a relative),

I received help from the local Stars team who came in and assessed my husbands ability, washing dressing etc.

I was a bit wary at first as he was a very private person and I didn’t think he would take to any help being offered, the girls were absolutely amazing, from day one he just struck up a great repertoire with all the girls who were so friendly, helpful and were fun too.

I am so grateful to this amazing team of carers, not just for my husband but for myself as well, supporting me through the bad days.

Thank you so much to all of you ❤️❤️❤️
