"I just felt as if I wasn't a priority"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Medical Initial Assessment

(as a service user),

I was admitted to AMIA in ARI recently.

I anticipated a long wait time to be admitted, which there was, and wasn't admitted until after midnight.
I appreciate how busy a ward it is, however I asked for water and never received it, despite asking at at time when there didn't appear to be much happening.

I was discharged the next day, however they needed my bed so I was asked to wait in the family room for my prescription to be ready. I waited for nearly four hours, during which time nobody came to check on me or offer me any food or drink.

The staff are very hard working and I appreciate that, however I just felt as if I wasn't a priority.
