In August I reported to Inverclyde Hospital with a really bad back pain. I had had this for a couple of days ( and nights) and was thinking that I had something seriously wrong with me.
I caught the bus to Inverclyde Hospital where I was admitted at Emergencies.
Right from being admitted I had excellent treatment.
Tommy was the first nurse who checked my temperature, heart and pulse. He did this in a very gentle manner.
Then I went through to another section where I had exemplary treatment from Claire. I felt much calmer after listening to the steps Claire said would be taken. Marie took my blood samples to check out for anything serious. Then I went for x-rays where I was again impressed by the courtesy and respect with which I was treated.
After all the tests had been done Claire spoke to me in a reassuring way and told me what I needed to do to reduce the pain. It didn't work straight away and took a few days to settle down. Claire's manner had reduced my anxiety levels.
I appreciated all that the staff at Inverclyde Hospital did. Thank you NHS.
"I appreciate all that the staff did."
