"All of the staff have been really reassuring and helpful"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Elective admissions (CEAW) 4 south

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Firstly, I came in for surgery. I was all prepared and had my gown on and was waiting in theatre, until doctors read my notes and realized I was unable to go under anesthetic as I was on too high of a dosage of medication.

I then returned home and came back in for an operation and was brought in to 4 South. The ward was extremely overcrowded and there was nowhere for me and my daughter to sit.

I am heading for surgery. All of the staff have been really reassuring and helpful. They have really gone out of their way to make me feel as comfortable as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to give this feedback on your recent hospital admission to Elective admissions sorry your surgery was postpend and glad to hear you have finally received it. With regard to overcrowding this can occur due to increased pressure in the hospital.

As Ward Sister for EAW, I would like to thank you for your kind words about the nursing care. I will ensure your feedback is shared with the team.

I hope you make a full recovery.

Many thanks

Nichola McClenaghan
