"Delays in clinic"

About: Musgrave Park Hospital / Children's Orthopaedics and biologics

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had a clinic appointment at MPH recently, we arrived fifteen minutes before we were due, and sign-up was already 45 minutes behind.

How does this happen so early in the morning? It was actually one and half hours after the appointment she was actually seen by the consultant.

When questioned we were advised this was because a few people arrived late to their appointments. I am sorry because people cannot organise themselves to be on time we were delayed by a ridiculous amount.

Working in the NHS, if someone is late to see me they either wait to the end or they are rescheduled to prevent the rest of the patients being annoyed.

My daughter has missed a whole day off school, she has several other appointments throughout the year, and if everyone was the same she would miss substantial school work. I don't think this is good enough.
