"I cannot praise the staff enough"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

In September 2023 I had to go the Ballochmyle Suite at Ayr Hospital for a minor procedure. From the moment I arrived all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. At each stage I was informed what would happen and was asked if anything needed explaining again.

The procedure to remove a cyst from my eye was the most painless procedure I have ever experienced. Nurse Sloan and all of the staff were continually making sure I was ok during the procedure. I cannot praise the staff enough for making my visit such an unexpectedly pleasant one.

We can be very quick these days to criticise the NHS but any dealings I have had recently have been excellent (in spite of what the government has done to it). To the staff that assisted with my visit and procedure, I thank you all.
