Anything else?
I underwent partial parotid removal surgery, performed by an amazing, wonderful surgeon, with a fantastic personality, from my first meeting with him, he has been transparent, and thorough in his diagnosis and treatment, and I had no worries having surgery in his hands, he is a dedicated surgeon, who clearly loves his job. Ward 8 is a friendly, reassuring place to spend your hospital time, the Nurses, are amazing, all of them, special mention must go to one, with her infectious sense of humour, further enhanced by her ward Sister, who were quite the double act and another, with a perminent smile on her face, and caring, natural nursing ability, nothing is too much trouble, the HCA, cleaners, catering staff, porters, anesthetic staff all superb, even the food was fine. No one likes going into hospital, but at a time of austerity, and the NHS coming under massive criticism and heavy government cuts, the people who actually deliver the service, still go the extra mile, and produce a service that is amazing. My experience didn't end there, I had to pop back late on a Saturday night, as I appeared to have some swelling and redness around my wound, a quick phone call to the ward, and I was advised to pop in, and get checked out, I was seen quickly by a consultant, he examined me, and reassured me all was fine, again, in a professional, friendly way. Literally, nothing is too much trouble for them. What a team the ENT Ward 8 are, I can only thank them for everything they did for me, and shout what a wonderful job they are doing.
"Amazing Treatment, amazing people."
