"Well looked after and informed of each step"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Emergency Care and Medicine Services South West Acute Hospital / Sensory Services

(as a parent/guardian),

Attended today with my daughter who has sensory issues and the staff couldn’t of been more accommodating or attentive ,

Gave us access to the sensory room, where we were able to wait comfortably and in a safe space where my daughter wasn’t overwhelmed with the fast paced environment of the waiting area .

Although the waiting time was long , staff continuously checked on us and kept us informed of what was happening .

Massive thank you to staff nurse Caitlin , who looked after us very well and ensuring we were informed of each step.

The sensory room is an amazing facility and a much welcomed addition.

Dear Okane93

thank you for using the care opinion facility, to express your opinions about a recent visit to our department with you daughter.

I am pleased to read your experience was positive and that you and your daughter were both looked after very well, and in particular by Caitlin, who you singled out. I will pass on your regards to her in the near future.

Our sensory room is a new innovative idea, that is being rolled out nationally at part of an improving patient experiences initiative.

Finally, thank you once again and I hope that both you and your daughter are doing well.

your faithfully

John Kerr (ENP)

SWAH ED
