The playroom at the sick kids Edinburgh (Castle Mey Ward) is fabulous! It makes your child’s experience so much easier when they are not feeling well and need to be hospitalised. There are so many colours and toys for kids of all ages. 

Jordan and Katie the nurses running the room (and keeping it tidy after all the play!) are amazing. They are so friendly. Jordan helped my daughter during her two visits to sick kids recently. She helped us by providing games ideas and arts and crafts fun!! It’s kept my daughter active and in high spirits. 

Thank you , Jordan! You are amazing!

Dear learningqn53,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback regarding the play room and staff in Castle Mey. The play staff try to ensure that it is always colourful and that it has lots of activities based around different themes throughout the year. The playrooms were designed to allow the children and young people to escape from their hospital routine and to allow a safe space for them to just enjoy being a child or young person and I'm so glad that your daughter was able to use these facilities.

I will pass on your comments to both Jordan and Katie as I am sure they will be delighted to hear that they made a difference to your child's time in hospital.
