"They are fully committed to their role in supporting people"

About: Children & Young People’s Occupational Therapy / Dundee - Children & Young People’s Occupational Therapy

(as a carer),

My son has a sensory processing disorder and we were referred to an occupational therapist called Fiona.

I would like to take this opportunity to highlight Fiona and her staff members on the wonderful treatment and support of my child and myself, I feel they all deserve medals for the wonderful outstanding care time and consideration we received from them, they are an absolute credit to your NHS service.

Fiona was kind caring and so supportive of my child and his transition in to school and her care time and effort she so wonderfully executed in her approach to supporting him was outstanding, my child was able to start school confidently and fully supported because of this and his learning journey and transition in to school was made so much easier for him not to mention how relieved and less stressed it made me as a mum also.

Fiona is fully committed to her role in supporting people and my god does that make a difference in being referred to such services, I cannot thank Fiona and her staff for the support and ongoing support of my child and how he and myself thrive because of this, Fiona and her staff members are truly a credit to the NHS and I just wanted to make this known, as they truly deserve it and if there was a better way I could award them I would.

I hope they get the praise and acknowledgement they so truly deserve.

Kind regards

Dear Mum100

We would like to thank you for such a wonderful story.

We were delighted to hear that your son had such a positive transition into school and to hear that Fiona was a great support to you both.

We have shared this across all our service and escalated it to our managers. It is so lovely to be able to share such a positive story helping to lift all our spirits when we are able to support and positively impact you and your sons life.

I am only sorry that I am delayed in responding to your story as I have been off sick with Covid but it was lovely to come back to this.

Thank you and wish you all the best and hope your son is enjoying school.

Take care

Aww please do not apologise, as single parent I whole heartedly understand how busy life can be, it was absolutely my pleasure to share our story and share the wonderful support we have received through your service and the wonderful moments we seen with other families in the Armistead waiting room, witnessing kindness and compassion in supporting children and their families.

I am very grateful this has been shared to give you all the recognition you deserve for such a wonderful service to families, My son is doing so well in school and I'm forever grateful in being supported in his transition to primary 1 with such care and compassion, this has positively impacted his early learning years journey and set a wonderful foundation for him to continue to grow and face his challenges understood and supported and what more could we ask for our children than that.

So we share our story to you with great gratitude and appreciation and may you all get the recognition you so greatly deserve.

I hope you have recovered well from covid and are back to full health.

Thank you so very much for such a lovely response.

Kind regards
