"Endoscopy team"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Endoscopy

(as a carer),

I attended hospital for a colonoscopy. I was very nervous as I had never had this type of procedure previously. The team there were amazing. From my check in chat through to preparing for the procedure, the team were very reassuring and positive.

When I had my procedure, Rosemary and her team were amazing. They were very transparent about what would happen and showed me what they were checking on the monitor.

The ladies were so pleasant and up beat. It really helped me get through the procedure. It was great to be told each step of the procedure and before I knew it, it was all done.

I chose not to take sedation and I am glad that I done this. It was not painful and the ladies were so up beat, it made it all good!

There was a lovely wee cup and sandwich after and then my results were reviewed and I was given some useful information and what I need to do to support my bowel going forward.

Thank you so much for your support and advice :)

Dear Kevindx23, thank you so much for sharing your experience of Endoscopy at University Hospital Wishaw.

It is fantastic to hear that you found the team to be amazing! I also think they are amazing!!

I will pass on your comments to the Rosemary and the team. They will be delighted that their reassurance, positivity and up beat atmosphere helped alleviate your anxiety on the day.

I hope you are recovering well at home.

Kind regards, Lynne.
