(as the patient),

A big thank you to NHS Highland/National Treatment Centre for providing the most amazing patient care following my recent hip replacement surgery. 

I was one of the fortunate patients to receive the offer of out of region treatment at the National Treatment Centre in Inverness. The NTC were recently appointed to help reduce the waiting times at NHSG over the last few months. 

I can’t praise the NTC, and its staff, enough for the amazing treatment I received from start to finish. The centre is beautiful and the staff couldn’t be more pleasant and helpful.

This whole experience has restored my faith in the NHS. Sadly, we have become too focussed on the many negative experiences within the NHS that sometimes we are blind to the good work that these guys do. 

I would hope that one day we can all experience the professional treatment/care they provide at the NTC across every region in the country. 

Thanks to Mr Cousins, and his amazing team, I was in no doubt throughout my pre/post op visits, I was in good hands. I’m now well on the road to recovery and look forward to resuming many activities put on hold over the last eighteen months.

I am delighted to hear you received such good care from everyone involved with your surgery.

It is always a pleasure to receive such lovely comments and to know that the staff at NHS Highland are appreciated both for their hard work and for their attitude towards patients. We are also pleased to read that we have restored your faith in the NHS.

Dear MMAC17,

Thank you for getting in touch and sharing such kind words for the staff and amazing treatment you received at the National Treatment Centre (NTC) in Inverness. It is lovey to know the hip replacement surgery you received there has restored your faith in the NHS. Our brains negative bias is very useful for keeping us out of harms way, but does often mean we forget to focus on the good things and the people who try their best to make each experience as positive as it can be.

I see my colleague at NHS Highland has shared this feedback with all involved at the NTC and I’m sure reading it will have made their day.
