I should have received a next appointment six weeks after my visit to the M2 Royle Eye Clinic at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. It did not materialise.
I chased up my next appointment up via the PALS service. The response was immediate and I have since had two appointments (within a couple of days of one another) and a third already booked.
My most recent visit was an example of just how good the NHS can be. A well organised visit. The three different elements of the procedure that were carried out were performed in a most professional manner with detailed explanations at each step.
I don't know what happened regarding the missing appointment but the last few days have more than made up for the delay. Hopefully a full diagnosis can now be made and a treatment plan for my WAMD and cataracts can be formulated.
