"Thank you all for the hard work you all do"

About: Paediatrics / Children's Ward 29

(as a relative),

My granddaughter was admitted to ward 29 and it was a long road to her recovery .I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff for  all that they do, especially under pressure. Consultants GPs ,Nurses HCAs Domestic staff and Porters all play a role in a day/day running in a hospital .

Everyone's kindness and experience of the different roles in the ward is a credit to the NHS .My granddaughter is now home and back to her cheeky self, she would also like to say sorry for giving you all a hard time for not wanting to wear my mask as I didn't understand you were trying to make me better . Thank you all again for the hard work you all do .

Dear funnyxc97

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback, it is very much appreciated.

The team continue to work hard, and strive to ensure all the children and their families have the best experience possible, during a very worrying time.

We understand how frightened the children can be having to wear masks to provide them with medicine and breathing support, but we try to find ways to make it less scary where possible.

It is great to hear that your granddaughter is back to her cheeky self, but I am sure she is behaving for her gran.

many thanks

Sam Russell

Senior Charge Nurse

Thank you for responding. I can only give high praise to all the staff for the care that they deliver on a daily basis. I hope they all enjoy the festive season and Santa visits the ward.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such positive feedback! I am glad to hear your granddaughter has recovered and had a positive experience along the way.

I will pass on your kind words to our dedicated Domestic team in ward 29 who will very much appreciate being included in your feedback.

I hope you both have a lovely Christmas and all the best for 2024!
