"Discussing an appointment"

About: Shawpark Resource Centre

(as a service user),

I have been to this mental health clinic before. Sadly my GP referred me back to it.

Asked for a phone call back to discuss an upcoming appointment. Got a call from the doctor. I explained I would struggle to attend the appointment due to chronic anxiety. The doctor's reply was you have to come in as I won't accept a conversation by phone as an appointment. I feel this was arrogant.

I asked the doctor if I had two broken legs would I still have to attend the appointment in person. Their reply was yes. Take the appointment or lose the appointment.

I feel this is yet another abusive doctor in Shawpark Clinic. In my view, it's  a total joke of a place for mental health consistently.

Dear Maryhi

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear about your experience at the resource centre and for the upset this has caused you. I have shared your feedback with the Management Team to make them aware of this. If you feel able to, would you be willing to discuss this with us? Can you please contact the Resource Centre on 0141 451 2730 and ask to speak to the Nurse Team Leader or Service Manager.

Thank you and take care

Nicole
