I called NHS 24 due to some blood-like substances in my vomit and was referred to the NHS GGC minor injuries unit at New Stobhill Hospital. I received a call from them within the hour and they booked me an appt to attend for assessment.
I attended, I was welcomed and advised of timescales for assessment as there was a backlog and they kept me up to date. There were facilities to have something to eat and drink from the vending machines, the nurses who assessed me were very pleasant and thorough in their triage of me and the GP registrar who assessed me was thorough and reassured me that there was no need for any further treatment.
They saved me from having to spend many hours in the emergency department and they did a very good job and it's a good facility to have.
"It's a good facility to have"
