"I can’t explain how vital this service was for me"

(as a service user),

After suffering a mental breakdown I was urged to seek help from the team at S2S Kettering. I can honestly say I’ve never looked back.

I had struggled with alcohol for 20 years and although I had tried different means to stop had never managed to come close. I stepped in the door and met Tom. Tom was great and immediately signed me up to the service and gave me all the advice I needed to move forward.

I attended lots of various meetings that work towards giving me the skills and support network to help myself but also to prepare me for detox. I was admitted into detox within 6 months and it was the most amazing experience of my life. Without the team at S2S I probably would’ve lost my family. 

I can’t explain how vital this service was for me and most probably always will be for my ongoing recovery.
