"Good minor injuries experience after a fall"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

NHS24 referred me to Minor Injuries because of persistent ankle and foot pain after a fall. I was treated with professionalism, courtesy and empathy despite the department having lots of patients needing assistance.

I was examined thoroughly with lots of questions to make sure of the details. No judgement, just care. I had my x-rays and was told of the results, given my support shoe and shown how to use the crutches safely. This was all done really efficiently, just a couple of hours in fact.

The medical and support staff had multiple patients but they made sure everyone was cared for and never abandoned or even left unattended for any great length of time. There was nothing negative about the care they provided, I know mine was a fairly straightforward case but it was still important to me and it was treated as such.
